Josh Henderson is the founder and owner of MainStreet and serves as Athletic Director for MainStreet Athletics. Along with operating MainStreet, Josh works for PowerSouth Energy Cooperative in Andalusia. He is an Overtime Athletes Certified Performance Coach and a 1st Phorm Legionnaire, continuing to expand his knowledge and involvement in fitness, performance, and personal development.
Josh and his wife are the proud parents of three boys and serve together as youth pastors at Word of Faith. His roles as a husband, father, coach, and youth leader have helped shape his passion for investing in the next generation and creating opportunities for young people to grow both on and off the field.
For Josh, MainStreet has always meant more than a gym or an athletics program. MainStreet is a mindset. It is about continually working to become better, taking responsibility for yourself, being an active member of your community, and setting a standard for those around you.
That mindset is rooted in Colossians 3:23 and the belief that whatever we do should be done wholeheartedly, as if working for the Lord. That principle influences the way Josh approaches fitness, athletics, business, family, and service to his community.
The same philosophy drives his approach to youth athletics. The goal at MainStreet isn’t simply to develop better baseball players or better athletes. It’s to help develop young people with character, determination, confidence, and a strong work ethic. Josh wants every athlete who represents MainStreet to walk off the field knowing they gave everything they had and can be proud of their effort, regardless of the outcome.
Through MainStreet, Josh’s goal is to build something that positively impacts individuals, families, athletes, and the communities it serves—creating an environment where people are challenged to work hard for what they want, take pride in how they represent themselves, serve others, and set a standard worth following.
Mindset Matters.

Certified as a Personal Trainer, Michael has been in the fitness industry for 12 years. He went to the University of South Alabama in Mobile where he first acquired his certification. It was after this that he started working as a PT and salesman for a privately owned gym in Troy before moving to Eufaula working for the same company. He has since been training here and there with mostly friends and colleagues but still has a passion for the industry.

Chelsea and her husband Josh knew there was a need for more activities for children in our local community. They along with some of their friends who were experienced in this area decided to open up MainStreet Studio to offer dance, tumbling, and cheer. We have had such an awesome turnout since we have opened and look forward to growing every year.

Colby is known as a family man. He and his wife Candace Farris have a 4yr old daughter named Gracie Mae Farris and are happily expecting. With a strong background in health and movement, she brings both education and experience to the MainStreet team. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science before continuing her education with a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
While in graduate school, she discovered a passion for barre and Pilates and earned her instructor certification through a studio in Buckhead, Atlanta. She later began teaching classes in Troy and Brantley before stepping away for a season to focus on raising her children.
Her passion for helping women improve their strength, health, and confidence eventually brought her back to teaching as the instructor of Sculpt at MainStreet Fitness.
Her Sculpt classes combine Pilates-inspired movement, strength training, and purposeful repetition to create a challenging, low-impact, full-body workout. She strives to create an encouraging environment where women of all fitness levels can become stronger, build confidence, and leave each class feeling energized and proud of what their bodies can do.
MainStreet is more than a gym—it’s a mindset.
What began as a place to pursue better health and fitness has grown into a community focused on helping people become better in every area of life. Through MainStreet Fitness, MainStreet Athletics, and MainStreet Studio, we serve individuals, athletes, and families with opportunities to grow stronger, build confidence, develop discipline, and pursue their goals.
At the heart of MainStreet is a simple belief: how you do the task at hand matters. We believe in taking responsibility for yourself, doing the work, serving your community, and setting a standard for the people around you.
Whether you’re working toward a fitness goal, developing as an athlete, or stepping into the studio, our goal is the same—to create an environment that challenges and encourages you to become better than you were yesterday.
Mindset Matters.
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
— Colossians 3:23 KJV
MainStreet began with a simple decision to get healthier. After years of putting his own fitness on the back burner, founder Josh Henderson decided it was time for a change. What started with a small group of friends purchasing equipment and training together in the living room of an empty house eventually grew into something much bigger.
Josh approached his brother, Michael Henderson, with the idea of turning their small training space into a business that could serve their community. Together, they founded MainStreet Fitness and opened the doors to a 24/7 fitness facility in Brantley.
Since then, MainStreet has grown beyond the walls of a gym. Today, under Josh’s ownership, MainStreet continues to expand through Fitness, Athletics, Studio, and other ventures—all built around a common purpose: helping people become better than they were yesterday while strengthening families, athletes, and the community around them.
At MainStreet, our values guide everything we do—from the gym floor and studio to the field and our community.
FAITH
We strive to approach everything we do with purpose and give our best as if we are doing it for the Lord.
MINDSET
We believe growth starts with the way you think. Challenges are opportunities to improve, and becoming better requires a willingness to learn, work, and keep moving forward.
WORK ETHIC
There are no shortcuts. We believe in showing up, doing the work, and giving your best effort—even when no one is watching.
RESPONSIBILITY
We take ownership of our choices, our effort, and our results. Personal growth begins when we stop making excuses and take responsibility for becoming better.
CHARACTER
Who you become matters more than what you accomplish. We strive to develop people who are confident, disciplined, humble, and willing to do what is right.
FAMILY & COMMUNITY
MainStreet exists to make an impact beyond our walls. We want to strengthen families, support our community, and set a standard that encourages the people around us to become better too.
MINDSET MATTERS.
